On Perverse Equivalences and Rationality

Chuang, J. & Kessar, R. (2016). On Perverse Equivalences and Rationality. In: Proceedings of the 7th European Congress of Mathematics (7ECM). . Zürich, Switzerland: European Mathematical Society Publishing House. doi: 10.4171/176-1/11

We show that perverse equivalences between module categories of finite- dimensional algebras preserve rationality. As an application, we give a connection between some famous conjectures from the modular representation theory of finite groups, namely Brou ́e’s Abelian Defect Group conjecture and Donovan’s Finiteness conjectures.
