ORCID: 0000-0003-2250-3832 Fibre optic sensors can detect flow events and flow speed via cross correlation of bending signal. Paper presented at the 25th Congress of the International Commission for Optics (ICO) and 16th Conference of International Society on Optics Within Life Sciences (OWLS), 5-9 Sep 2022, Dresden, Germany.

Abstract

Using Cross-Correlation (CC) of the Time Difference Of Arrival (TDOA) to determine the flow speed of arriving flow structures using the bending of FBG sensors, demonstrating FBG sensors capability for source localization applications.
