AV IntersectionModels

Popov, P. ORCID: 0000-0002-3434-5272 (2024). AV IntersectionModels (1.0)

Abstract

This archive contains two Mobius SAN (stochastic activity networks) models used in the paper "Road Hazards on Road Intersections and Stochastic Modelling of their Effect on Safety of Autonomous Vehicles" dealing with modelled-based safety assessment of autonomous vehicles (AVs).
The two models in the archive are as follows:
i) a model with two absorbing states, which model "accidents" (serious or minor). This model is used for transient analysis to compute the probability that and AV reaches an absorbing state within a given period of time, e.g., 1000 hours of operation, and
ii) a model derived from i) after removing the absorbing states. This model is to compute the steady-state probabilities of the model states.
