Abstract
The efficacy of a developed microfluidic test strip is investigated in comparison to conventional blood glucose test strips. Utilising a combination of hydrophobic and hydrophilic treatments, the developed test strip showcases significant reduction of air bubble accumulation within the sample chamber. The findings of this study demonstrate the potential of hydrophobic-hydrophilic treatments on microfluidic channels, to address one of the major challenges in microfluidic channel development i.e. air bubble formation.
