Abstract

This study is based on a survey of 41 employee-owned businesses (EOBs) and 22 non-employee owned businesses. Our study also draws upon the published financial data of 49 EOBs and 204 non-EOBs in the UK. The key findings of this study add to the evidence base on the effects of employee ownership on
business performance.
