Academic mobbing - what university management needs to know

Pace, I. ORCID: 0000-0002-0047-9379 (2024). Academic mobbing - what university management needs to know. Sex Matters, 2024,

Abstract

Ian Pace, Professor of Music, Culture and Society at City, University of London, writes for Sex Matters on the phenomenon of workplace mobbing, drawing on studies of dissent under totalitarian regimes and the phenomenon of groupthink. He explores why mobbing seems to be on the rise in universities, with consequences that go far beyond the victims, and considers what can be done to fight back.

The second half is a comprehensive critical survey of literature in multiple languages on mobbing and groupthink.
