Abstract
Poster to be presented at the Digital Humanities 2023 conference, Graz, Austria, July 10-14 2023. The poster has been created following co-design methodologies, involving the artist and the participants in the creative and authoring process (Priego 2021), and will be presented at the conference on both print and digital outputs for online sharing. By co-designing a poster in comics form, the team engaged in practice with some of the guiding research questions of the collaborative doctoral partnership by participating in the process of creating a printed comic via digital methods simultaneously designed for digital delivery.By practically engaging with the media-specificity of the comics medium, the poster is presented as a specific form of digital humanities research output. In doing so, it also presents a summary of the research findings to date. As a Digital Humanities project and output, the poster has been the result of 'hacking' and 'yacking' (Nowviskie 2014), and seeks to participate in an informative and pedagogical manner in scholarly conversations about the opportunities -but also the many challenges- of collaboration in digital humanities projects including the roles of PhDs, PhD supervisors, funders, libraries, and universities.
