Abstract
This chapter offers some reflections on one of the sources of critical management education (CME) in the UK that hinge around the connection of the personal and the political. It sketches what I take to be the distinctiveness of CME and considers what this means in practice. The chapter then explores and assesses the introduction of a first-year undergraduate module on ‘critical thinking’ and ‘dialogical pedagogy’ recently introduced at Bayes (formerly Cass) Business School before concluding with some broader reflections on CME today. Throughout the chapter, reference is made to the relevance of other contributions to this volume.
